cushion rails which meant a far superior rebound, in fact it was the
first time that players could really determine where the ball was
going to end up which was a massive step forward in pool table
design. The GCIII, firmly placed Brunswick way out ahead of any
other company in the production of competition/commercial pool
tables.
Unfortunately as Brunswick
released the new Gold Crown the copy merchants in the Far East started
pumping out 'copies' of it. As a result, it has become the most
copied pool table ever! Now anyone can copy something and as far as
appearances go, some of the copies were almost life-like, but here's
the thing...the frames were only a fraction the thickness of the
Gold Crown proper, the copies certainly didn't have SuperSpeed
cushions which meant accuracy was poor at best and they didn't have
Brunswick certified slate so you would have little chance of
ensuring the bed was level and flat - luckily...this is a genuine,
